അപകട ഭീതി: പാളത്തിനരികിലെ സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥലത്തെ മരങ്ങള് മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റണമെന്ന് റെയില്വെ

പാലക്കാട്: മഴക്കാലത്ത് റെയില്വെ ട്രാക്കിലേക്ക് പാളത്തിനരികിലെ സ്വകാര്യ വ്യക്തികളുടെ പറമ്പുകളിലെ മരങ്ങളോ, ചില്ലകളോ വീഴുന്നത് മൂലം ഉണ്ടാകാവുന്ന അപകടങ്ങള് ഒഴിവാക്കാന് റെയില്വേ അധികൃതര് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കി. മലബാര് മേഖലയില് റെയില് പാളത്തിന് സമീപത്തെ സ്ഥല ഉടമകളോടാണ് ദക്ഷിണ റെയില്വെ പാലക്കാട് ഡിവിഷന് പബ്ലിക് റിലേഷന്സ് ഓഫീസര് എസ്. ജയിംസ് നിര്ദേശം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
അപകട സ്ഥിതിയിലുള്ള മരങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ചില്ലകളും മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റി സഹകരിക്കണമെന്നാണ് റെയില്വെയുടെ അഭ്യര്ത്ഥന. റെയില്വെയുടെ സ്ഥലത്തുള്ള അപകട സാധ്യതയുള്ള മരങ്ങള് റെയില്വെ തന്നെ മുറിച്ചു മാറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മഴക്കാലത്തെ ശക്തമായ കാറ്റില് മരങ്ങള് കടപുഴകിയോ, ചില്ല ഒടിഞ്ഞോ റെയില് പാളത്തിലോ, ഓടുന്ന ട്രെയിനിന് മുകളിലോ വീഴാന് സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും അത് ആളപായവും നാശനഷ്ടവും ഉണ്ടാക്കാന് ഇടയാക്കുമെന്നും റെയില്വേ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കി. പലപ്പോഴും പാളത്തിലേക്ക് മരങ്ങള് വീണ് ട്രെയിനുകളുടെ യാത്ര മുടങ്ങാനും സമയം നഷ്ടപ്പെടാനും ഇടയാക്കുന്നതായും അറിയിപ്പില് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
SUMMARY: Frequent tree fall incidents on railway track especially in Malabar area are increasing due heavy rain. Tree fall incidents on railway track cause damage to railway track and rolling stock. This disturbs the rail traffic and making hardship to travelling public. Trees on railway land in falling and leaning condition are already cut by railway authorities. The trees leaning towards railway track from private land and in falling condition create big threat to railways. They may fall at any time on running train or on the track. This may cause serious injury or even death to travelling public and damage to railway properties. In addition, it could lead to abnormal late running of trains and disruption arising out of accidents.
Hence, Railways appeal to the land owners near to the railway track to cut the trees or prune the branches leaning towards the railway track and in falling condition. That will help smooth train operation during this monsoon season. Railways solicit your kind co-operation in the matter.
